How Nikah Wasila handles personal data, CNIC documents, consent, export, and deletion.
Privacy is a product rule, not a footer sentence. This page describes how the live system behaves. Consent version: 2026-08-24.
Who we are
Nikah Wasila is a matrimonial consultancy operating from Karachi, Pakistan. We process personal data to provide consultation, verification, matchmaking, introductions, billing, and support — not to build a public rishta feed.
What we collect
We collect only what matching and operations require: identity and contact details, profile preferences, family notes, appointment records, and billing data. Religion, sect, health, and similar fields are sensitive; several are voluntary and used only when matching needs them.
CNIC and documents
CNIC copies are identity documents. They are stored privately, outside the public web root, with restricted download. Every access is logged. They are not used for marketing. Do not upload CNIC images on the public contact or consultation forms.
Lawful processing
We process personal data under applicable Pakistani law, including PECA and any enacted personal-data statute at launch. If you live in the UK or EEA, we record a lawful basis, treat you as a GDPR data subject, and honour export and erasure requests from your account.
Who can see a file
Verification officers and assigned consultants see what they need for the case. Consultants do not receive the whole house by default. Finance sees invoices, not match notes or private photos by default.
Your controls
From a registered account you may view privacy settings, request a data export, withdraw consent, deactivate, delete the login, or request anonymization. Deactivate, delete, and anonymize are different workflows. Invoices and immutable audit logs may be retained where the law requires.
Cookies and analytics
Analytics tools must not receive CNIC numbers, phone numbers, or full names when avoidable. This public site does not publish client profiles for search engines.
Success stories
Stories require explicit publication consent after nikah. We never auto-publish an outcome.
Retention
Sensitive documents are not kept indefinitely without a legitimate operational or legal reason. Retention is configurable in operations. Contact us if you need a copy of the current schedule.
